Should all acquaintance be forgot

Hey everyone...I guess everybody's taking it nice and slow now that the so called 'relaxed and groovy' term is over. As Mother Superior and I have discovered, there is NOTHING relaxed and 'not-so-groovy' as well. Still, I know some of us are planning trips to travel back home for what may be the longest term break we'll ever get. Last week, we've all gone for a wonderful dinner with Irene @ Italiannie's. I know the pictures are coming up, I'll post them up before I leave Malaysia. But I am however posting some pictures that I took with some Diedethians at Sunway Lagoon yesterday.

I just want to say to everyone, thank you for the wonderful year. As we are fast approaching our second year and we do know that many of lecturers that we met in foundation year are apparently leaving (possibly migrating to greener pastures). For Irene and all other lecturers, may you find what you're looking for and all the best in whatever it is that you plan to do. May we one day meet again, no longer as students and teachers, but as colleagues in this ever changing industry.

cheers,
Chris.

Open Plagiarism at its best (or worst)

This is why I never ever EVER liked pop music. Because all they do is copy, copy, COPY and COPY even more!! Bad enough they can't sing and lip syncing is a must have skill. Here you have denial at work with open plagiarism circling around. By the way, PEACHES is the androgyny goddess of our time and the best electroclash artist around, period!

our target artiste this time : Avril Lefraud.
Excuse given: She's never heard of them both and guess what, her top playlist include's Peaches' song 'Rock Show'. The Rubinoos were famous maybe before she was even born. Meaning she prolly didn't write 'Girlfriend'.
But to be fair, music is so very subjective. I guess no one can really help it if some tunes sound a little bit alike. Oh well...I don't know but I guess it's pretty obvious.

you decide.

cheers,
red.

Dinner with Irene

EDIT---

Date: 20th July 2007 (in case you lost track of time and date)
Day : Friday
Venue: Italiannie's @ The Curve (proposed)
Reason: The place is reasonably priced for the portion it serves. The pasta is served in a rather big bowl and it's good for sharing and trying out new pasta dishes. Plus good thin crust pizzas and lots of booze if you fancy them. We'll split the bill when it arrives but if there is more people then I presume the damage is less but just in case bring at least RM70. Please let me know by Monday because I need to reserve tables and I need to know the exact number of people coming. Plus it's a Friday so I want to call them up ASAP.
After Dinner: Chen suggested we go watch 'Vacancy' at Cineleisure after dinner. The ticket it presumeably RM10 so I need someone to book the tickets online. Volunteer pls (though I assume Sathom is in charge because you've always been in charge of tickets). So please let Sathom know if you'll be watching the film with us.

All other details will be updated here as they go. But please remember that you MUST notify me by Monday. I will not tend to late replies because I HAVE A LOT OF OTHER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT!! You have been notified.

Red.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys... dinner with Irene this Friday. Then watch Vacancy in Cineleisure after that. Please give us the feedback via comment box...NOT chat box. I will not entertain anything on the chat box and i mean it. If Chris decided to layan, then it's ok..if not...i will not check. Please reply. we need to book. thank you.

Admin plays VJ for the day

Hey everyone...I know everyone is extremely busy with their work and assignments. So I thought I'd lighten everybody up with some hand-picked videos that will get your minds ticking and ears ringing. The videos below are heavily animated and I think it's something that most of us have a common love for : animation. I don't know about the rest of you but my personal love is making music videos. So these are some of the music videos that I totally love and get inspired every time I watch them. The art direction, the concept and the execution (in my humble opinion) is excellent plus these are some of my favourite bands. I'm really glad that these bands create music videos that are different and outstanding. It beats the norms. I hope you will all be entertained to say the least.

White Stipes - Fell In Love With A Girl
(Legos gone wild!!)

Bjork - All Is Full Of Love
(Who said machines cannot feel?)

Bloc Party - Pioneers
(Classic animation with a bug problem.)

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
(Interesting critters the little buggers...if you look carefully, the animation goes in sync with the drum beats)

Radiohead - Go To Sleep (Little Man Being Erased)
(3D CG animation at it's pioneer stage for music videos.)

----latest addition (thanks gf for the intel)----

Mogwai - Hunted By A Freak
(Animal cruelty animated...tear jerker for you animal lovers.)

Cheers,
Chris.
